Completely at disagreement with the critics who have almost bashed up the movie, I found it pretty entertaining.
An advantage that I had, could have been the fact that I have not seen Warrior (which supposedly this one is a remake of). So if you watch with a clean slate and no comparisons to make, this is how you will find it like.
A decent new story. Good direction. Good performance by Akshay. Others almost manage too. Music not too bad.
A slightly slow and emotional first half but I did not find it boring at all. It did manage to hold an interest as to what goes wrong.
Fast paced and gripping second half which keeps you stuck to the fighting rink. Never mind the nitty gritties or technicalities of the game… it does give you a lot of fist clinching moments right till the climax.
Every movie cannot be perfect and comparisons to Hollywood version will lead nowhere.
This one is a simple Bollywood entertainer with a decent mix of emotions and adrenaline.
