Pritam & Pedro (Comedy thriller/ 2026 /Prime Video Series)
If you are in a mood to watch something breezy and delightful ,this short and crisp comedy thriller ,set in Goa, offers an interesting premise and good performances.

Pritam is a simple boy with engineering background who is a dhurandhar of cyberworld but sells vacuum cleaners for a living. Pedro is a crime branch policeman who finds it difficult to even navigate a keyboard.
When destiny throws both of them together to solve a crime , it leads to some funny, some emotional and some thrilling moments. Both are novices when it comes to each other’s forte. But they have to work in conjunction, to be out of the mess they are in. On the personal front, both of them have some demons to fight and a past they are running from.
Avinash Arun ,of “Patal Lok” and “Three of Us” fame, tries a very different genre and in my opinion fares pretty well. He mixes humour and crime, and also adds a pinch of suspense.
The story is set in Goa which adds its own charm. The cyber angle is a bit simplified but I think it was necessary to retain the breezy tone of the series . After all, it was not supposed to be a police procedural. The humour laced situations do not let it get heavy at any point.
Amongst the cast , the pleasant surprise is a fantastic debut by Vir Hirani . The boy is good looking, talented and delivers a super smooth debut performance. Loved him and would look forward to see him again. It is interesting that Rajkumar Hirani chose to launch his son in this format . I think it was a good decision considering the fate of cinema releases.
Ever reliable Arshad Warsi is the ace who keeps up the comedy quotient. Vikrant Massey is super impressive. Even in a small role, the man effortlessly communicates so many emotions & expressions without going overboard even by an iota.
Mona Singh , Boman Irani and Rajesh Sharma unfortunately neither impress nor had much to do. Shruti Marathe and Satyadeep Mishra are good but I must confess his character was very annoying.
Honestly speaking, names like Avinash Arun and Abhijat Joshi could possibly have delivered something mind blowing. It is a delightful watch nevertheless.The episodes are short , the pace is good , humour is subtle and the cyber investigation adds interesting hue to the thriller.
