With a lot of anticipation(after watching the trailer) and levelled expectations (after reading some tepid reviews ) …. I finally can say that I loved and thoroughly enjoyed a film and laughed so much… after a long time.

And the response wasn’t just mine but the entire houseful theatre & the audience’s chuckles agreed with me.

If you look for logic in this quirky plot line, that is supposedly inspired by a Korean film, you might not be too happy, but entertainment it offers aplenty & laughter too.

Shahid, a robotic engineer by profession , works for his maasi Dimple who uses him to test a human like robot( Kriti).

Initially unaware about Kriti’s reality, Shahid remains in love despite Dimple & his friend’s warnings.

The first half of the film is all about the build up . But there are many factors that keep you invested.

The novelty value of the story, gorgeous looking Kriti, Shahid’s boyish shenanigans , Dimple’s classic elan and a great chemistry between the leads.

When Shahid decides to take the experiment further by introducing Sifra to his family, that’s when the real fun begins.

Hilarious situations lead to uproarious laughter. Of course , you have to have a certain degree of suspension of disbelief and be in an indulgent mood to enjoy the innocence and the outrageousness.

Kriti absolutely shines and pulls off the role with an aplomb.

She looks breathtakingly beautiful and maintains a perfect poker faced innocence. To have just the right degree of “robotic look” is not an easy feat I guess.

There’s something real and next door about Shahid’s portrayals that makes him very endearing. His timing, expressions, the fluidity and ufff .. those dance moves.

I have always felt that there’s a charm about his moves that makes me love them even more than Hrithik’s moves. They are my two absolute favourite dancers in the industry. And by the way , Kriti matches up to those moves and like wow !

Dimple , as always looks absolutely chic & stylish. Dharmendra plays an adorable Grandpa.

The support cast are good and give an endearing feel to the film.

The humour peaks as the second half proceeds. One major sequence and Kriti’s uproarious performance has you falling  off the chair.

The songs are good . Absolutely loved Laal Peeli Ankhiyan. It is smashingly groovy with some fantastic moves.

Have always admired Maddock Films for the experimental variety they offer. The film deserves much love for daring to break the monotony of similar looking action films towing the same repetitive formula.

It ticks off all the boxes of an entertainer. It’s a mighty good looking film with good performances, fab songs , great humour, clean entertainment and a new story.

Score 3 on 5
